This kinetic interactive installation is dedicated to those who have faced challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Throughout this unprecedented time, many of us have experienced a daily routine of deliveries and visits to our front doors. Whether it's food deliveries, couriers, or postal workers, they have played a crucial role in our lives. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, we are no longer able to personally interact with them, exchange greetings, or express our gratitude. It's important to me that these essential workers don't feel isolated while tirelessly performing their duties.

With this installation, I aim to provide a warm and uplifting experience for everyone who passes by. It greets individuals and wishes them a good day, spreading positivity and fostering a sense of connection. By creating this interactive artwork, I hope to bring joy and brighten people's moods, even during these challenging times.

The structure and logic behind the kinetic installation

The interactive and kinetic components of the installation are powered by Arduino.

The SR602 sensor detects human movement, while the connected micro servo rotates the circular wood, causing the rectangular template to move up and down.
