This augmented reality piece explores the concepts of time and memory. Throughout history, people have sought to create something more enduring than themselves, and photographs serve this purpose. They have the power to permanently capture a person's moment, making it seemingly eternal, even though the individual in the picture is relatively short-lived. Photos have become a popular medium for recording significant moments. However, I believe that while we perceive them as tools for remembering, they often become records of forgetting.
In this augmented reality piece, I aim to highlight the transient nature of human existence, urging viewers to cherish every fleeting second of the present.
Within this piece, three photographs hold profound significance, as they each encapsulate important memories.
As individuals, we undergo constant changes, particularly in our appearance. There are instances when we come across old photographs and struggle to recall the identity of the person depicted. The image in the photograph remains clear, while the memory associated with it becomes blurry. While people inevitably lose their memories and eventually pass away, photographs endure. In this augmented reality piece, I aim to highlight the transient nature of human existence, urging viewers to cherish every fleeting second of the present.
